SOLI DEO GLORIA SCHOLARSHIP INFORMATION

The Soli Deo Gloria Music Scholarship was established in 2016 in honor of Billye Bowman. At a time in life when most individuals would be focusing on retirement, Sis. Bowman left what was familiar and secure to pursue her training in ministry. In her years of service to the music departments of both Jackson College of Ministries and Texas Bible College she has impacted the lives of hundreds of students from around the country. Her commitment to education as well as the TBC motto “Spirit–Excellence–Truth” is modeled through her daily Christian walk. “Soli Deo Gloria” translated means, “To The One True God and To His Glory Alone”. This phrase sums up the ministry of Sis. Bowman and the heartbeat of the TBC Music Department. These scholarships are intended to aid full-time music majors.
