Calling out to every minister of the Gospel to save the following date in your calendar for 2018: February 22, 2018. On that day Texas Bible College and the Texas District will have the opportunity to hear and learn from a prince among Apostolic preachers: Reverend Jerry Jones, General Secretary/Treasurer of the UPCI. Brother Jones will be ministering in our TBC chapel service that Thursday morning at 11:10 AM, and he will be teaching two sessions about preaching that evening, beginning at 7:00 PM.
Reverend Jerry Jones is a prolific speaker, author, and administrator who brings to us a rich background and history of experience in Apostolic ministry. One of his most recent book titles, We Preach, was published by Word Aflame Press and will be available for purchase for those interested.
The premise of this one-day meeting is very fundamental. We preach the gospel to reach people with Christ’s message, however, before we can effectively reach people we must expend great effort and disciplined study. Consequently, we first must reach to preach—stretching, disciplining, and applying ourselves. We reach for the Bible, reach for study resources, reach out to God in prayer, reach out to God in contemplation of our topic. Only then are we positioned to effectively preach to reach.
*There will be no charge for these special sessions. A freewill offering will be received.
